About Me

I copyedit science and history to educate readers about the important advances being made in the world, and those made in the past.

I built my biology and social science knowledge at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I studied forensic anthropology, earning a BA in Anthropology with a Biology minor.  I then worked in English instruction for 5 years.

In 2018, I joined the publishing world as a production assistant at a textbook company, where I built books. There, I supervised production as a production editor for 2 years.

In 2020, I blended my English, science, and publishing skillsets and opened my copyediting business, specializing in history. Owning my own business allowed me to travel the world, living in Toulouse, France (La Ville Rose ), and the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to San Diego.

In 2023, I became the staff copyeditor at Montezuma Publishing at San Diego State University, editing education research for the biannual Journal of Applied Research in the Community College.

Since 2023, I have specialized in science and K-12 curriculum, helping medical research institutes translate their advances into engaging, clear prose, and educating new generations of change-makers.

I am always accepting new clients. Please feel free to reach out over email to discuss your next project.
